STM32CubeMonRF - sub-GHz ?

Andrew Neil

STM32CubeMonRF: https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonrf.html

Seems to apply to BLE and IEEE 802.15.4 only?

Is there anything similar for sub-GHz ?

Hello

You are right, STM32CubeMonitor-RF is supporting the STM32WB series, and then covering only BLE and 802.15.4.

For sub-GHz, there are similar functions for RF tests with STM32WL, but there are covered by STM32CubeMonitor and specific STM32WL flows. It is described in this wiki : https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32CubeMonitor:Wireless_Long_Range_RF_Test

The flows are included in STM32WL Cube firmware.

Best regards

Thanks.

Is that facility also available with other non-WL sub-GHz products?

Right now, it seems that only the STM32WL package have a demo and RF test dashboard for CubeMonitor.

In principle, should it work with others?

Or is there some specific tie to the WL ?

Hello Andrew.

The STM32WL RF test panel uses AT commands available on STM32WL. As it is non standard commands, it is unlikely to work other product.

I see.

:\

Any plans to make such a thing available for other sub-GHz products?

What sub-Ghz products do you have in mind ?

At this moment, B-L072Z-LRWAN1

In general:

Your SPIRIT range?

I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1

etc, etc, ...

Hello Andrew

The AT commands of I-CUBE_LRWAN looks similar to the one used on STM32WL, but not fully identical.

I assume it may not work with your board and there is no plan to adapt the STM32WL flow.

( With STM32CubeMonitor editor, you can edit the flow to adapt it to you need).

Best regards
