I already tried this forum solution

https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-boards-and-hardware/how-to-deal-wirh-could-not-verify-st-device/td-p/234230

but the issue persists. Any hint?

Hello @ltoso.1

For such an issue, I suggest you to:

  • Upgrade to the Latest STM32CubeIDE Version.
  • Use the Latest ST-LINK GDB Server.
  • Check for the ST-LINK Firmware Updates.
  • Verify Connection and Proxy Settings are correct.

Best Regards.

Hello STTwo-32,

thanks for your reply.

I am using the last update from repository for openocd on my raspberry pi.

The st-link I am trying to connect to is the embedded one on the WL55 nucleo board.

CubeIDE is fully updated

I also changed the expected-id in stm32wlx.cfg from openocd as suggeste in the linked post.
