https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-wl55jc.html indicates that it has "Arm® Cortex®-M4/M0+". I am confused about this: does it use an M4 or an M0+? Also, what is the difference between the WL55JC1 and WL55JC2 versions of the Nucleos?

Please disregard the first question as the answer seems to be that the WL has dual cores so it has both an M4 and an M0+.

WL and WB is SOCs and one core M0 is for internal hw control. Your user is M4

Makes sense, @MM..1. Thanks for the timely response.

WB and WL product lines are both dual core with CM4 and CM0+. There is a slight difference between them:

  • WB: CM4 for user application, CM0+ for RF stack only
  • WL: CM4 or CM0+ are fully user accessible, both can be used for app or for RF stack.
