Custom Wio-E5-LE PCB draws 88 µA in sleep — datasheet says 2.1 µA

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with power consumption on my custom PCB that uses the Wio-E5-LE module. According to the datasheet, the module should consume around 2.1 µA in sleep mode, but my board is drawing around 88 µA instead. I’ve double-checked everything and can’t find any other source of leakage.

What i have already checked,

  • Disabled all unused peripherals
  • Configured all GPIOs properly
  • Verified there are no shorts or solder bridges on the PCB
  • Measured current draw of other components — none show any noticeable leakage

Welcome to the forum.

Please see How to write your question to maximize your chances to find a solution for best results.

In particular, please show your schematic.

Some good, clear photos may also help.

Which datasheet is that - the module's datasheet, or chip datasheet?

Have you contacted Seeed Studio? The module is their product:

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
