TouchGFX 4.23.1 task doesn't close and remain open on multiple istances

Hello,

the last release of TouchGFX has a problem when closed..

The problem is that when I close it, the task doesn't close and instead remain open.

See the attached image.

It appears to be open in multiple instances.

Thanks for reporting, could you give us more details please? Like does it happen every time or only with a specific project? Is your project heavy (lot of assets/screens/texts)? Which version of Windows do you use? Do you reproduce your issue on another computer? Do you reproduce it in an other version of TouchGFX?

We could analyze the logs if you send it to us. It's located under C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\TouchGFX-4.23.1\TouchGFXDesigner.log

Hello Osman,

I have only one project to test and it happen always when I open it with TouchGFX 4.23.1.

My project is not so heavy, 26 screens but with many layers in it. Many texts.

I use Windows 10 Pro version 22H2.

My collegue with Windows 11 doesn't have this problem. Another my collegue with Windows 10 22H2 has the same problem.

Before, when i used TouchGFX 4.23.0 I didn't have this problem.

My collegue with the same problem has the same log.

So when the log says that TouchGFX is closed, it is not closed and keep more of 3GB of ram occupied.

Hello,

Could you send us the entire log file please? Also, if you could share the project it would help me to investigate (you can share me in private if you prefer).
Also, can you test with a new empty application and tell me if the issue happens?

I received the log file, we'll investigate and get back to you. Meanwhile, I invite you to work on 4.23.0 if the bug does not happen on that version. Or you can end the process in Windows Task Manager if you face it again on 4.23.1.

This issue is resolved in the last TouchGFX release (4.23.2) available here : https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/touchgfxdesigner.html

I invite you to download and try that new version  🙂
