Which Nucleo-64 don't have STLink V2-1?

Your printscreens are difficult to read, please provide a link to the pages.

If you need a nucleo without st-link, many of them contain cut-in that makes it possible to remove the st-link part way from the rest of the board.

It's mostly the Linux font..

I think Jan's familiar with the break-out board, but that's not the question here.

Question is that these are almost certainly ST-LINK/V2-1 not ST-LINK/V2, or there's some nuanced detail ST doesn't communicate well/consistently

Some of the newer boards have ST-LINK/V3, like the NUCLEO-H503RB

https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32-nucleo-boards/products.html - in ST-Link column, select ST-Link v2 (i.e. without the dash-one).

Touchée.

Yes, I wanted to know, which Nucleo-64 does have the non-dash-one STLinkv2.

I was to recommend a mid-range (as in 'F30x or 'L4xx) Nucleo-64 as the optimum board for a novice, instead of the infamous BluePill, but I faintly remembered that the first Nucleo did not have the dash-one version of STLink yet. So I went searching and that search resulted in these confusing results.

Not that I am surprised, ST is not famous for meticulously documenting the minute details nor for supporting strenuously their own devboards. I am just sad.

Hello Jan,

As far as I know, nowadays, the MB1136 boards are built with ST-LINKV2-1,

so for the 1st picture, yes, this is confusing, because L053, L076, L152 an L476 are capable of "Virtual COM Port + Mass Storage".

Maybe I'll try to find who can fix that.

And for the 2nd picture, the difference between "Arm Mbed Enabled" boards vs the others is whether they have a dedicated page here : https://os.mbed.com/platforms/

In this page the NUCLEO_L152RE is stated as STLINK/V2.

I have one: it has STLINK/V2-1. And it's written on the packaging!

This shows that the information on the ST site is not reliable.

Hi @Mike_ST ,

Probably I just remembered it wrong and all Nuclei had the vee too dash one ever since.

Thanks for the explanation of the mbed-enabled-ness. UM may have said so, e.g. in a footnote to given table.

The web needs more attention. There are Nucleo boards in the list with no STLink at all - is that the case? There was also a recent thread where @Pavel A. pointer out, that while every Nucleo has a dedicated webpage, the text there is just copypasted boilerplate which does not reflect the real features.

Thanks,

JW

Agreed

I don't think so too.
