The HAL layer uses extra ram and generates more code

I am using CubeMx to generate my project code, it's really a good tools. But there's a new HAL layer in the generated code, which uses extra resources. I don't like this too much, so will there be an option that can disable the HAL code generate, using the ''StdPeriph_Lib'' only?

In all honesty I don't see that ever happening. If you want to use the SPL then you'll need to own the code creation and integration task.
