Hi,

I've got a question about using ST-LINK/V2 to program/debug an external application:

if onboard st-link can be used only for MCUs from STM32L1 series or from other series too?

I'm asking because in UM1079 it is written (quote) ''Using the ST-LINK/V2 to program/debug an external STM32L application'', so I want to know if this is a restriction on series of MCU

That must be an unintended typo. The STLink there is a generic one. Incidentally, I currently use a ''L DISCOVERY'''s STLink to develop on F4...

Make sure to use the most current firmwares to support the newest devices. I'm not sure ST has released the most current ones, the update on Keil is newer (V2.J16.S0) than one with ST-Link Utilities (V2.J15.S0), and I've seen V2.J17.S0 on the STM32F401C-DISCO board.
