Hi Guys,

I am working on a project based on 

STM32F446RE and we need to interface external SDRAM(16bit) with STM32. Can anybody help me with interface of SDRAM with STM32.

• I recommend you to have a look to FMC examples under the STM32F4 package to have idea how to configure the FMC controller to access the SDRAM memory: STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.0\Projects\STM32446E_EVAL\Examples\FMC

The document you provided was useful, but we are using WLCSP81 package(

). It seems some of the interfacing pins are not available for this package(ex:- FMC_A0 to FMC_A11). Do we have alternate pins for this or do we need to use UFBGA144(

http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/stmicroelectronics/STM32F446ZEH6/497-15814-ND/5287173

) package.

FMCAlternate functions are available forUFBGA144 andLQFP144 packages,please refer toSTM32F446xx pin and ball descriptions table in your datasheet for further details.

Just now, from the datasheet it seems to found STM32F446M and

STM32F446R don'tsupport FMC memory controller.

I went to the

and it says

• Flexible external memory controller with up to 16-bit data bus: SRAM,PSRAM,SDRAM/LPSDR SDRAM, Flash NOR/NAND memories

I also opened the datasheet, DocID027107 Rev 6, and in 3.9  Flexible memory controller (FMC) it says:

All devices embed an FMC

In fact yes! I already said that

FMCcontroller isavailable only forUFBGA144 andLQFP144 packages:

In the datasheet page no:-13 it is mentioned that

UFBGA144(

STM32F446Z

) andLQFP144(

STM32F446V)

packages only support FMC, but i dnt know why it mentions all device have embed FMC.
