I am curently using the STM32F407 and F427 MicroControllers.
Can anyone advise if they are CAN FD compatible or if this is a software layer etc. Any information would be helpful. Rgds John W- Mark as New

Pretty sure it is an accelerated signalling mode, and not a software layer tweak, so no I don't think this is supported by the bxCAN controller used by ST.
Up vote any posts that you find helpful, it shows what's working..

Thanks Clive.
I think CAN FD has a 8 byte to 64 byte data flexability. Maybe ST support can advise on availablity. Once again thanks for help ... and in the past. KR John W- Mark as New

for can-fd the can-controller within the silicon has to be modified. as far as i know there a some vhdl implementations for fpga's.
or you check the vendors for an external can-controler with spi interface and can-fd support.- Mark as New
