STM32F1xxx shortages

PKorz.1

We moved to STM after being let down by Freescale and TI in terms of sourcing. We are now finding massive MCU shortages and lead times > 30 weeks. Even despite this, we just found out that apparently STM is not taking additional orders.

It is frustrating since the STM news feed shows "business as usual", with no mention or indication as to whether this is a supply issue, a demand issue, and what is being done about it.

Can anyone share any insights?

Hi @PKorz.1 ,

First of all Thank you for choosing STM32F1 which we are producing since 2007 and continue to be a high runner.

Currently we are experiencing a strong demand from our Customers and we are committed to serve and produce with a reasonable time frame.

Please keep in touch with your distributor in order to have better visibility.

Thanks for your message.

We are facing the same issue of STMicroelectronics

STMSTM32F030K6T6 controller. so I changed the hardware design, port software to another controller. and I realized compare to STM it low price and no any shortage issue.

i pay a one-time cost but now I have two option for MCU.

Just curious, which MCU did you choose?
