And this is why it's important not to rush into upgrades where the vendors of your critical components aren't chasing Microsoft's latest tangent.
Aren't the WHQL tests supposed to prevent these types of issues? What has Microsoft changed that has broken the ecosystem?2015-08-17 01:52 AM
Hello Syrine,
Thank you for your quick feedback. In fact, I have one customer among forty who is not facing the issue. Can someone let me know which files are installed and where they are installed by the VCP install tool ? I want to check if it is not due to a change of the address of the folder.Thank you for your feedback.2015-08-17 03:47 AM
Hi ZBH,
It should be under C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\Software\Virtual comport driver-Syrine-2015-08-24 11:49 PM
Hi Syrine,
I have checked with a customer on his 2 computers, one powered by Windows 10 Pro, the second by Windows 10 Home.My product with my software made with the STM32 VCP driver is only working with the Home version.I can not understand the difference of the install of the driver on both operating systems and why this difference.Does anyone have a clue for helping me to solve this issue ? Perhaps there are differences how different W10 version get their drivers. Like download from MS update or not. Have you looked at some Window 10 forums, there are several of them.

Hi Mich,
Yes I did : http://blogs.msdn.com/b/usbcoreblog/archive/2015/07/29/what-is-new-with-serial-in-windows-10.aspxhttps://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn707976(v=vs.85).aspx''In Windows 10, a new INF, Usbser.inf, has been added to %Systemroot%\Inf that loads Usbser.sys as the function device object (FDO) in the device stack. If your device belongs to the Communications and CDC Control device class, Usbser.sys is loaded automatically. The driver is loaded based on a compatible ID match similar to

.''
I am not a specialist but I think the driver got to be updated. Am I wrong ? In the README file released with the driver I can read ''Supported OS : Windows XP to 8.X''. There is not ''Windows 10'' on it.Thank you for your support. The issue starts to be very critical for me.B.R.Zaïd2016-06-22 12:54 PM
