A quick glance to STM32F756 and STM32F439 datasheets: the former consumes around 150mA at the ''everything ON'' setting at 180MHz (and can go higher, both in frequency and power consumption), the latter consumes around 100mA.
Provided similar thermal dissipation, the 'F7 is bound to run hotter... JW- Mark as New

It is claimed that the F7 chip has the same power consumption as the F4. Maybe ST guys can shed some light on this.
I ordered one Discovery board to further evaluate. Anyone has any experience or observation on this?
