STLINK-V3MODS dedicated firmware for UART bridge

I'm considering using STLINK-V3MODS for RS-485 via VCP. For it I would need DE (Driver Enable) functionality. (Something similar was commented in an old question)

In the user manual, when UART bridge is described it says:

"UART signals with hardware flow control (CTS/RTS) are available on MB1467 CN2 pins 1, 2, 3, and 11. They need dedicated firmware to be programmed on the main module before being used. Without this firmware, the Virtual COM port function must be used instead (no hardware flow control)."

How can that dedicated firmware for STLink-V3Mods be compiled and flashed?

If CTS/RTS hardware control can be enabled, DE for RS485 should also be possible to be implemented as DE and RTS share the same pin.

This question should have been posted on STM32 MCUs, not MPUs. I duplicated it there and tried to delete if from STM32 MPUs but it's disabled.

Please delete this question and keep the same one on MCUs
