Hi Clive,

just joined the forum, I've got 2 STM32 Discovery boards and have used one to program the others STM32F103C8T6 to play with the keil USB mass memory demo, overwriting the embedded ST-LINK.

I know I can use the second STM32 to program either of the embedded STM32's on the second board, but would like to restore the original embedded firmware at the moment.

How can I recover the ST-LINK bootloader?

The original question was is it possible. There are several parts to the firmware, do you have the application portion? If you do, then you have control of the part, and can emit the 0x08000000..0x08003FFF portion in any number of ways.

If you have all the pieces you can push it back in via the BOOTx/USART1 method.
