Peripherals missing in debug?
2011-05-17 04:26 AM
Hi!
I'm using the stm32f103zet6 and the rlink standard programmer, but when i'm in debuging mode, can't see some peripherals like uart4 and uart5... When i create the project and select stm32f103zet6 it shows that the device only have 3 Usarts, but in the datasheet refers to more two UARTs 4 and 5? It is possible to debug them? Thanks for your time...2011-05-17 04:26 AM
Push the IDE manufacturer to update their device database. It's clearly their fault not to implement the newest family additions.
Ask through their support channel.2011-05-17 04:26 AM

Absolutely - it's a specific issue with a particular IDE - so ask the IDE provider!!Quote:

It might be the user's fault - not using/configuring the product correctly...?2011-05-17 04:26 AM
If the device shows in the database? Your guess would be manual update of the database files with forgotten/screwed update of all IDE parts?

Thanks for your posts!
Some peripherals like TIM8 i already tested and is working as expected, but is missing from the peripheral tree when in debug mode. I take on other main.c and stm32f10x_it.c files from Ride7 library and paste only my code and run. Results: Only have 3 USARTS before, after i have the 5. The SysTick, TIM5 to TIM8,and DAC is still missing... And they are selected in stm32f10x_conf.h Thanks for your time...2011-05-17 04:26 AM
Thanks for your reply.
How can i do that? Do you know what files i have to edit? Thanks for your time...2011-05-17 04:26 AM
Hi, it was comment to st7 about wrong update/user error.
You have to push the IDE manufacturer, anyway.2011-05-17 04:26 AM
Thanks again..
So, you suggest that i send an email to raisonance reporting the situation?2011-05-17 04:26 AM

Isn't that the obvious approach? Who is going to know Raisonance's products better than Raisonance themselves?!
