Dear All,

Following several customers requests, all our Free Community Forum contributors at this post

http://www.st.com/mcu/forums-cat-6905-23.html

and also Many OEMs that requested from ST the need to protect specific and advanced firmware against competition copy, We have setup a license agreement for all our firmware and PC software Packages.

Some part of this license agreement becomes today a major limitation for our 3rd parties as well as for some customers. After checking with legal department at ST, The following Official statement has been made:

1) We will Remove all license agreement files for firmware and PC

software on the web. But we will Keep it only for specific firmware.

2) We will see in our free firmware and PC software packages (readme.txt)

that there is no license for this deliverables.

If a customer needs a firmware agreement, he should contact his local

ST office (We will provide a specific customized package on demand)

All other notes related to this license will be removed from the

packages (including documentation, source code...)

3) We will Provide all firmware on ZIP format rather than EXE, To be

compatible and independant from Operation systems : Linux, Windows,

Mac etc.

Thank you again for your comprehension & wish you very good design with our STM32 which is designd to release your creativity :) in Embedded systems.

With best Regards,

STOne-32. ;)
