Is UART_CR1.TE toggle sufficient for IDLE frame generation, if UART kernel clock is APB?

0693W00000WHa8rQAD.pngI experimented with this, however, as long as UART kernel clock was set to APB, idle frame was generated, even if the two instructions writing to UART_CR1 were immediately after each other. I may have overlooked something of course.

I have no problem with checking TEACK, and indeed experiment showed that it ensures IDLE frame generation with UART kernel clock set e.g. to LSE where the plain toggle indeed resulted in IDLE being omitted; however I would like to avoid any extra steps if not necessary.

I know the chance anybody who has access to the UART design files and thus can answer this definitively, would answer here, is infinitesimally small, but I tried.
