Difference between UM1974 & UM2179 - both ''Nucleo-144''

Posted on March 10, 2018 at 11:01

BothUM1974 & UM2179 have exactly the same title:

So how are we supposed to distinguish the two - without having to open both ?

Would you like to add the whole list of part numbers to the document name?

IMO it's not the naming of documents flawed, but the naming of boards.

They are different (or populated differently) thus they should have distinct names - and then the names of the documents would follow that.

Yes - presumably there is some key difference between the 'Nucleo 144' boards covered in one, and the

'Nucleo 144' boards covered in the other - so that should be reflected in both the board names and the corresponding document titles.

Rather like there is  the 'Nucleo 64' seriews, and the 'Nucleo 64-P' series - each with its own appropriately-titled User Manual.

(Although ISTR I couldn't find any clear definition of the difference between the 64 and 64-P,  without having to trawl through the 2 User Manuals - but that's another story.)
