DCMI digital camera interface

Hi everybody,

I'm starting working with image sensors and there is something I don't understand.

ST provides a digital camera interface called DCMI. I saw some people are using it OV7670 or OV5642. But in the sensors documentation there's no reference to DCMI.

Is DCMI a way to handle DVP or MIPI CS-2 or is it an interface itself?

Is there a list of DCMI compatible camera sensors?

I hope someone can help me, thank you very much for your attention.

DCMI is an ST name for their interface. Basically an in-bound synchronous parallel interface. Clock sent to camera, data and framing info clocked back, data stored in memory using DMA.

Not sure there is a list. Resolution tends to be limited by the size of you acquisition buffer, either internal RAM, or external.

Hello

I can write to registers but can't read them, what is the reason?

I supply xclk pin with 42MHz sysclk coming from MCO2.

Thanks.
