Posted on March 22, 2016 at 16:16The latest CubeMX 4.14 seems to have a severe issue with the clock configuration. In some situations it can't find the right clock configuration for a wanted frequency, and it starts an infinite search with no success.
For example, start a new project for the STM32F746G-Disco board. Check the flag ''Initialize all IP with their default mode''. As you can see there is an issue with the clock. If you set a clock speed of 216MHz in HCLK field and hit the enter key, CubeMX says that the current clock configuration doesn't allow to reach that frequency. If you answer ''Yes'' to the question, than it enters in an infinite loop that never gives a solution.
I'm sure that this issue is not present at least in CubeMX 4.12. Can't check for the 4.13.1 version.
