Hi,
We are using the STEVAL-IHM023V3 with the STM32VLDiscovery board for testing and we are able to run the motor without any problem. However, when we start to evaluate if we can use the STEVAL-IHM023V3 with a STM32F3xx board for testing the Motor Profiler feature, we found that the STMCWB doesn't support this. The STMCWB supports Motor Profiler for MB459, STEVAL-IHM028V2 and STEVAL-IHM025V1 only. Then we have studied the schematics of the IHM028V2 and IHM025V1 and compare these with the schematics of the IHM023V3. We cannot find any reason why STMCWB does not support Motor Profiler for IHM023V3. May I know that is there a way we can use IHM023V3 for Motor Profiler? #motor-profiler #steval-ihm023v32015-09-07 05:32 AM
Ciao
I think that this can be done with a workaround, starting a new project with STEVAL-IHM025V1 (that is very similar to the STEVAL-IHM023V3) and modify manually the power stage according the setting of STEVAL-IHM023V3. You can open two instance of STM32 Motor Control Workbench one with the STEVAL-IHM023V3 and the other with a new project based on STEVAL-IHM025V1 go in the power stage and copy each value from one to the other project. Hi Gigi,
Thank you. I'll try this.2015-11-16 09:59 AM
Could a similar thing be done for the STEVAL-IHM039V1? It is using a supported processor, but isn't listed as compatible with the Motor Profile in the SDK.

Yes, I think shall work.

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).
Best regards
