Issues with Gate Driver Reset Triggered at Low VM Voltage in STSPIN32G4 Motor Drive Controll

popnew

"I am currently using the STSPIN32G4 chip to design a motor drive controller with an external 6V supply for the gate driver. The DC bus voltage (VM) is selected to be 4V, which is less than 5.5V. When the motor speed is high, the gate driver triggers a reset. However, when the VM voltage is increased to 4.5V, the driver operates normally. What could be the possible reasons for this?

Hello @popnew,

Firstly, we would like to apologize for the delay in replying to your post.
According to the STSPIN32G4 Datasheet, RESET could be trigged by the VREG3V3 monitoring. Refer to "5.1.2 3.3 V linear regulator" chapter.
