VN5050AJ CS_DIS not working

rkager

We have a new design were we have multiple VN5050AJ high side drivers. We have connected all current sense pins together and want to enable just one current sense per time to save analog inputs. Now it seems that the CS_DIS pin is ignored and the chip always drives the correct current out of the Current_Sense pin and ignoring the CS_DIS. Levels should be fine as we have 0 Volts and 3.3V for the CS_DIS input (Pin 5) which is way above the limits from the Datasheet. 0.9 and 2.1V.

Thanks

I recommend reading the notes on such a configuration in UM1556, section 6.2. Paralleling of CS pins (current sense).

Hope that helps?

Good luck!

Thanks. Any reference to this manual would be a good idea in the datasheet.

Well, the document can be found on the product website, tab Documents.
