Hi, 

 anyone tells me how to design a 24vdc to 15vdc  buck converter using viper26ld?

If you want to stay with STMicroelectronics, there are a bunch of devices for converting 24V to 15V, the recommendation only depends on the output current. You could e.g. have a look at theL6981 or the L6986 .

hi,

you have 24V IN ? and want 15v out ? then viper26 is totally wrong for this.

take a LV2862XLVDDCR or TPS563300DRLR ; which current ??

or cheaper and also STM : the good old MC34063 . ->

The MC34063 is a very old device working with very low switching frequency, which requires bulky passive devices. In addition it is an asynchronous regulator, which requires a Schottky diode. All in all this might be the more expensive and bigger solution.
