Hi,
anyone tells me how to design a 24vdc to 15vdc buck converter using viper26ld?

If you want to stay with STMicroelectronics, there are a bunch of devices for converting 24V to 15V, the recommendation only depends on the output current. You could e.g. have a look at theL6981 or the L6986 .

hi,
you have 24V IN ? and want 15v out ? then viper26 is totally wrong for this.
take a LV2862XLVDDCR or TPS563300DRLR ; which current ??

The MC34063 is a very old device working with very low switching frequency, which requires bulky passive devices. In addition it is an asynchronous regulator, which requires a Schottky diode. All in all this might be the more expensive and bigger solution.
