Hi ST experts,
Can STSPIN32F0 or STSTPIN32F4 to drive the SiC/GaN mosfet by the specification of Rdson = 73mOhm, 650V and 26A?
Thanks.

Hello @STLearner,
the GaN FETs requires specific gate drivers (e.g. STDRIVEG600).
The STSPIN32G4 is a able to manage motor supply voltage from 5.5 V to 75 V.
In the STSPIN32F0 family the part number STSPIN32F060x could be used.
The driver has 20 V of maximum operating voltage and it is not able to drive negative voltage.
If these characteristics are compatible with your SiCs, you can use it.

Some additional information for driving SiC FETs: the required undervoltage lockout for SiC FETs is higher than with normal FETs, because otherwise the SiC FETs would risk to operate in linear mode and the conduction losses might increase dramatically. For that reason and those mentioned by Cristiana, dedicated gate drivers should always be used for GaN and SiC.
