In the SPV1050 datasheet, in the Electrical characteristics section, the VMPP voltage range is defined as 0.075V to VUVP - 0.1V. I do not understand why VMPP is limited by VUVP. In buck-boost configuration, certainly the input source's maximum power point voltage is potentially above the battery voltage, no? Or does MPPT only work in boost configuration for this IC?
Can you please explain how MPPT operates for a maximum power point voltage above UVP (and potentially even above EOC), in buck-boost configuration?
