sensored BLDC motor for X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1

I recently purchased the NUCLEO-F303RE and X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 development kit.

With a 2804 Gimbal motor.

So far all the tests have gone well for me.

But my intention is to control a sensored BLDC motor.

Do you know of any sensored BLDC motor that works well with this development kit?

Thanks!

Hello @JD.1720 and welcome to the ST Community.

I cannot suggest a brand but only to choose a three-phase brushless motor with compatible voltage and current for the STSPIN830 driver.

If you want to use the kit power supply the voltage ratings is reduced to 12 V (nominal value).

Otherwise you can use an external power supply with output voltage between 7 and 45 V (CN1 or Ja connectors).

Concerning the X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 hardware settings you can refer to the user manual UM2415.

Let’s see if other Community Members can suggest you a specific motor part number that they used.
