Wireless power transfer to rotating collector

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anybody can help on an improper use of the induction cooktop .

I've received an ST email featuring the STEVAL-KITXCB and it is very interesting for an unrelated application not involving appliance. Basically I need to transfer a lot of power to some electronics which is mounted on a rotating cylinder. At moment I am using a rotating collector, but it has a short life and is very expensive. I watch the video on the page promoting the kit and I saw the water boiler getting power from the stove top while it was moved around the surface and lifted. I downloaded the DB5153, which it shows in detail the kit, but I can find any information on how to build the receiving part. Basically, in your expert opinion, can I created a rotating receiver for transfering power to my electronics? The power requirement it's pretty much what's the kit is proposing. I visited the Wireless Power Consortium which it's developing the standard but I could not found any information. Maybe I just misunderstood what the kit is working. Eventually I can explain in more details my application.

Thanks for any advice I can get.

Regards

Carlo

As noted in the other thread, for details of the kit you probably need to contact ST direct, or your local FAE/Distributor.

Thanks Andrew,

I did contact ST direct , but they said my enquiry was beyond the scope of the application. In their answer they noted that my request needs an in-depth analysis and for that reason they suggest to look in  https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/partner/partner-program.html#1 or in this community.

I search in the various section of the link but I could not find any ST partner involve in this technology so I took a shot in the community.
