What is the difference between LM317T & LM317BT?

difference is the allowed temperature. B is for industrial use -40 to 125°C

Thanks for the clarification. Does LM217 has same electrical characteristics as LM317 but with higher thermal sustainability to 150C?

It seems to me that LM217 and LM317 have the same characteristics, expect the -20 to 150°C
