There are our test and verify procedure of defective IC as following:
Our terminal client found IC function disabled issues(no voltage drop value and no voltage output) and feedback------- engineer found disabled IC through confirmation and analysis( engineer measured the 1th pin and 3th pin's voltage drop value of disabled IC used multimeter,no voltage drop value display,see Pic1)-------Disabled IC recovery normal function and change OK(when engineer took down Disabled IC used iron and re-install IC on the PCBA,through iron's high temperature, disabled IC recovery normal function and change OK. engineer measured the 1th pin and 3th pin's voltage drop value of IC used multimeter ,have voltage drop value display,about 0.543V ,see Pic2)------after 48 Hours of aging testing with current of this IC it was disabled again(no voltage drop value display,see Pic:3).
Through the above test and verify procedure which can let us know this IC‘s reliability can be affectted by temperature,sometimes OK or sometime NG.
So,infer other things from one fact, is not sure and worry about this IC will be affectted by other factors, have to doubt this IC's quality property isn't stable.....
What's root cause result in IC no voltage drop value and no voltage output?
So need ST help to analysis this kind of defective status and improve IC's quality.
