PSRAM with burst mode vs. fast SRAM

Hello,

For an application with STR9 we have to design a board with external RAM. We are not sure, if we should use PSRAM instead of SRAM. The price for the external memory is secondary. For our application, speed is more important. We would like to access the external memory in 16 bit muxed mode. The question is, which memory gives us in average a better performance, a SRAM with an access time of 12ns or a PSRAM with 70 ns access time and burst mode feature?
