I need hardware error feedback. Or also possible improvements in the design.

I'm using the theseo-liv3f module to make a GNSS board. In this project, I am only acquiring invalid positioning data, and I would like to know if there are any hardware errors to be corrected. I've already paid attention to the reset pin which is actibe low, and making corrections, I managed to update the firmware, but the data is still invalid.

I'm using the active antenna Taoglass AGGBP.SLS.25A

  • communication with registers/command response is ok ?
  • try as antenna , connect simple piece of wire (ca. 7 cm )
  • C4 10nF , why? i would use 10uF or more

We use c410nf as decoupling capacitor, because it is the one indicated in the hardware manual for power terminal filtering. Speaking of command response, teseo even sent data to the master, but only invalid data, even managing to update the firmware this problem continued.

Likely 10nF to look like a short to high frequency noise, not provide bulk capacitance.

Invalid data? Like saying it can't get a fix from the signals provided?

Check you see a 3V DC bias on the RF Feed line to power the active antenna.

Make sure you have an active antenna AND that it works properly, check it on a known working receiver. Make sure the DC bias doesn't get unduly loaded.
