Transmit underflow bit (TUFL) in BSPI

Hello,

I am sending data on BSP1 and check the TUFL bit to see when transmission is finished. The problem is that TUFL will not get set. Are there any special considerations regarding this bit? I thought it got set whenever the transmit buffer is completely empty (no transmission and nothing in transmit buffer).
