ECMF2-40A100N6 is a 2 lines Common mode filter with ESD protection for High Speed Serial interface
https://www.st.com/en/protections-and-emi-filters/ecmf2-40a100n6.html
The input is identified as D+ to connector and D- to connector. The outputs are identified as D+ to IC and D- to IC. Can the D+ and D- sections be swapped for layout reasons?

Well, but if you want an ST engineer, in this case you want somebody from this special area, not "any other" from the 42000 .
So better try direct contact:

D+ and D- sections can be swapped .
I see no problem, because signals are differential/symmetrical, so its no different condition to exchange them.
Just connector side vs ic side cannot be changed, because the protection diodes have to be at connector side.

Thank you. This is my interpretation too and is also in the app note as symmetrical ports for generic parts:
https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an4511-common-mode-filters-stmicroelectronics.pdf
The datasheet is very specific with pin names so I need to confirm that they can be swapped. Also, the part can be used for other high speed channels and they are not called out in the datasheet similar to the USB connections. I wish they had called them ports in the datasheet.
It will be best if I can get a reply from an ST engineer. Are they fairly responsive on the forum? They seem to respond to other threads fairly often.
cheers,
-Bryan
