I currently have a STR7-EVAL board and Microcross GNU X-tools and Nohau EMUL-ARM development tools. I am new to the ARM development environment and was wondering what other tools are needed to utilize this development board.
Appears I might need to purchase the rlink for programming.2006-03-23 05:31 AM
Folks,
I am in the same boat. I have STR710 EVAL board with no documenation and seems like no firmware loaded in it? Also I have RLink JTAG dongle and RFLasher tool. I want to use GNU tools and working on uclinux / eCOS related things. Now I want to know if using Rlink I can program? 1. Internal flash on STR710. 2. External Flash on STR710 board. 3. External SRAM on STR710 board. Thanks sam2006-03-27 03:02 AM
I have a manual for the STR710-EVAL and there is demostration software on the board. It appears the demo software is being run from internal flash is this correct and is there source code for the demostration software available?

So if I would program the internal flash for my application there would be no way to reload the demostration program.

Is it possible to get STR710-EVAL board's demo software in elf format? Instead of axf.

I am currently using seehau EMUL-ARM with the EMUL-PC/USB-JTAG interface to download to the MB393B board. Apparently, the axf format is not supported by seehau.
I really don't want to buy another development system at $2000 a pop to work with STMicroelectronics MB393B board.
