The programming board of the ST92F120 can be used for the 150? If
not we have to buy a complete one or only one different board or soft (upgrade)? Of course speaking of same type of package. It will be used at ICP (In circuit programming). The ST92F150CV1Q6 will be manufactured as a standard part type? Klaus2011-05-17 02:32 AM
Yes it works. I have already programmed a ST92F150JDV1Q3 (PQFP100) in ISP mode and on socket mode, using my ST92F120-EPB programmer. So ST92F150CV1Q6 will also work.
FYI, its hardware revision is 2.01 and I use STVP9 V1.9.5 as programming interface. To do the job, just target the ST92150-EPB in the ''ST Visual Programmer Configuration'' menu. I only tested PQFP100 devices because that's the only package in common between the ST92F120 and ST92F124/F150/F250 families. Now I recently acquired a ST92F150-EPB and for the same clamshell socket (PQFP100 !), the only difference hardware-wise is 2 capacitors that has been added on pin 31 and 43 : there are 330nF capacitors. They have been added to take care of the Vreg pins even though based on my tests, it looks like they don't do much. Jojo2011-05-17 02:32 AM
I confirm that, from my experience, using a ST92F120-EPB without adding the two Voltage Regulator Stabilization capacitors does not limit the ST92F150 read/write/erase features.
