Slow programming are a while

Hi!

We have a little problem with the Winee software.

We have at work Starter kit ST622x/0x with Winee 4.0.1.

The first 1-2 times we program a chip it takes about 30 sec.

But after that it takes a much longer time, 1,5 min. If we exit Winee

and start it again it programs the first 1-2 chips quickly and then it takes long time again.

We had this from the start. A day later we installed a printer. Printed out some stuff and started programming again. Then it could program 20-40 chips before it got slow again. What could be the problem?

Don't know if there's a serial version of this kit, or if there is a serial connection included on this one, but I'll mention that we use the parallel port on our.

Could a upgrade to the version 4.0.3 help this problem?

The computer is a Dell Celeron 1.3GHz with XP and 256MB RAM. It's a clean install of XP on it. Can't remember if it's Home or Pro version.

Thanks in advance, Sebastian.

You can try the latest version of Winee R4.0.3, as stated in the release notes there was some pb of programming time fixed in the 4.02:

Release 4.0.2

* hapl.dll (v2.0.0.3): on the ST6 Starter-Kit, the Eprom programming time can be unstable when using PCs under Windows95/98. This problem has been solved.
