Hi everybody,

I am trying to run the IAP UART (AN2078) on my ST711 device. Sadly I’m not be able to run correctly. Due to the current version IAP from ST was wrote for IAR Workbench 4.x, I had to adapt to 5.xversion. I’m not sure if I have done correctly this adaptation (linker.. and startup.s files). I can see the menu on HyperTerminal and I press “1� to start the process (''C'' characters appears on Hyperterminal) Then, I send the file (YModem) but nothing occurs. Really I don’t know why. Does anybody tried IAP with IAR WB 4.x or 5.x ? Does it works or it has a mistake? I would appreciate your help very much. I’m lost with this issue. Regards. ALFA.

I'm really desperate :-[ Here attached my ''startup'' files .s Probably the mistake in there. I don’t know if I have adapted correctly the old files to the new IAR WB 5.x. Could you kindly take a look? I don’t have the necessary skills to fix it. Hi amoreno,

I' trying to use a bootloader for a STR9 on the base of the IAP example. I have the same problem with DCD sfe(CODE_ROM) - sfb(CODE_ROM) in init_table.s Have you had any progress since your last entry in this forum? regards shoutee

Hi shoutee,

Unfortunately I don’t have the solution yet. I have tried to install previous version of EWARM 4.41 and test the example. In this case, the solution compiles perfectly but still not works for me. I download the entire new firmware and I see on screen “download successfully size…� Sadly it is not working properly. By the way, what does the firmware example do available on AN2078 for download into ARM board? I can’t see any difference. Anyways, I have tried to compile my own firmware to download but I have the same. Noting happens when the firmware is downloaded. (if I press “2� key, nothing happens, new firmware dont seem to work) If you have any progress, please share with me, I’m really desperate. Thanks and best regards. ALFA
