The ST7 Active Probe that we have been using with the HDS2 recently seems to have experienced a fault. Ever since the fault, the following error is observed when trying to connect for Debug (Debug button within STVD7) to the probe:
gdi-error: the configuration is not supported by the emulator. The target configuration is an ST72T1412K controller. I believe that we will probably have to pursue having the probe serviced, but if anyone knows how this might only be a configuration issue with the ST7MDT5-EMU2B kit that we are using or can suggest how to troubleshoot the emulator board further in the field, your suggestions would be appreciated.2006-01-04 01:41 AM
Some further info after more research:
1) The error text reads as follows: ** Connection error (LPT1): gdi-error in hds: the debugger does not support your emulator hardware configuration. 2) It is not clear if this is being generated by the HDS2 emulator or the ST7MDT5 Active Probe. However, it has only begun to appear after a fault occured on the target application when the Active Probe was connected. 3) Attempts to use the EMU2B Hardware Test function to troubleshoot the hardware further have not proceeded because the STVD7 menu does not provide this option when this error is present (without a successful connection).
