Hi,
We're just completing a design based on the ST BlueTooth Low Energy module
SPBTLE-RF.
However, we are finding it very difficult to find any stock (in the UK at least)
SPBTLE-RF is marked as not recommended for new designs
SPBTLE-RFTR looks ok and appears to be just a different format (Tape & Reel)
But delivery times are anything from 5 weeks to a year !
Nucleo development boards for BLE are still featuring this module so I presume it isn't going to be superseded anytime soon ?
Thanks for any info anyone may have..

Packaging apart (tray vs T&R), modules are exactly the same.
XNucleo board will (can) mount TR modules if/when needed

I am seeing the same problem of availability here in the U.S.
Any information on long term availability would be helpful.

We can find the
SPBTLE-RF0 much easier here, so will be testing that in the design.
As far as I can see, the only differences are in certifications and Tx/Rx current consumption unless anyone knows anything different ?
Thanks

RF/RFTR: SMPS power supply, LSE (32KHz) crystal, TELEC (Japan) certification
RF0/RF0TR: LDO power supply, no LSE crystal

Thanks for the info.
Does that mean the datasheet is wrong...

Do not confuse BlueNRG's mandatory HSE (16, or 32MHz here) with optional LSE (32KHz)

Sorry, I immediately read it as 32Mhz, not Khz.
Thank you
