SPWF01SA Wind:5: Hardware Failure: 5

Hi everyone,

Sometime when I try to connect the module to a exsisting WiFi network I receive the following string from the module:

+WIND:0:Console active

+WIND:32:WiFi Hardware Started

+WIND:21:WiFi Scanning

+WIND:35:WiFi Scan Complete (0xFF)

+WIND:5:WiFi Hardware failure:5

And then the module continue to start again from WIND:21 to retry to scan in order to match the WiFi network.

Has anyone happened to the same thing?

The FW is 3.6 (the lastone)

Giulio

Hi Giulio,

+WIND:5:WiFi Hardware failure:5 is printed when the WiFi hardware does not answer to requests. The status code 0xFF in the previous WIND:35: seems also indicating a problem in the hardware.

After the WIND:5: is printed, is the device able to connect to the network after the next scan or do you need to reset the device?

Have you checked the power supply against voltage drops?

Regards,

Elio

Hi Elio,

I have already checked the power supply and there aren't any voltage drops. After the WIND:5: is printed, the device is not able to connect to the network and I need to reset the device.
