I am evaluating the use of the SPBTLE-1S module, based on BlueNRG-1 and Bluetooth v4.2 compilant, to interact with iOS. BLE 4.2 specification includes data length extension feature which improves throughput and reduces transaction time. However, according to documentation, only BlueNRG-2 supports BLE extended packet length feature.
Is it possible to upgrade BLE stack embedded software (
library managing the RF part
) with a version wichextends the possible MTU size up to 158 bytes?
Thank in advance.

Dear Adriana Albert,
as reported in the documentation, only BlueNRG-2 supports the BLE extended packet length and there are no firmware updates available to enable this feature with BlueNRG-1 too.
