Hi

Did you change anything in the firmware configuration?

Which tool are you using? EVB-LIV3F or X-Nucleo-GNSS?

Thanks

Yes, I tried to configure the firmware. But the process freezes and Teseo no longer communicates with the PC.

No I do not use VB-LIV3F or X-Nucleo-GNSS.

I have a Teseo module soldered to the board.

From your MCU-host you should perform a firmware-update where the configuration is removed.

You can take the firmware @ https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/automotive-infotainment-and-telematics-software/teseo-liv3fsw.html

Take care that to perform firmware-update your MCU has to driver the Teseo-LIV3F.nReset pin.

Just a question: what were you configuring? may be it's just a baud-rate issue?

Did you see PPS blinking? May you can communicate with I2C port.

But can I complete firmware-update where the configuration is removed from the PC and terminal program or using any other program?

speed did not change exactly

Worked only on UART, PPS is not possible to control.

Hi

Firmware update is always possible because internally it doesnt' care on the configuration.

On the PC:

  • you have to use the firmware update tool (in the Teseo-Suite);
  • in the firmware update tool you have to enable:
    • Recovery mode
    • Erase NVM
    • Baud 115200

On the board:

  • connect the UART
  • Push "Start" button in the firmware-update tool
  • Trigger the module reset (this is mandatory)

On Module reset the firmware update will start.

Hope this helps

Hi

So that's the point, Teseo-Suite throws an error when you press the STA808x / 9x FW Upgrade button in the Tools menu?

Hi

Which version of Teseo-Suite are you using?

Did you install Teseo-Suite as Administrator?

You can try using the attached stand-alone version of firmware-update.
