Hi,
I was trying to program a SPC58EC-DISP board with a TCP code and after a while it turned on the red reset LED. After that, all my attempts to reprogram the board were impossible.
I tried it with and without the jumpers of the JP5 connector, the configuration of the board with respect to the rest of the jumpers is the factory one. I even tried to keep the reset button pressed while trying to reconnect the board and modify the JP33 to try to get the connection with the PLS but I couldn't.
I have 2 other SPC58EC-DISP cards with the same jumper configuration and I can connect with them without any problem, so I guess it's not software problem.
Can you help me get the board working again?

Hello MIke ,
Maybe your board is in the reset escalation.
Could you try to connect by holding the reset button with PLS ?
Have you got a TRACE32 Lauterbach ?
Best Regards
Erwan

Hi Erwan,
I tried holding the reset button while plugging in the board. It hasn't worked either.
Since we started working on the cards, the debuggers have not yet been purchased, but it is planned to buy both a Lauterbach and an SPC5-UDESTK-EVAL. Possibly in the middle of next week the SPC5-UDESTK-EVAL will be arriving, but I still don't have a date for the Lauterbach.
Do you think that doing the reprogramming from a debugger with JTAG can solve this problem?
I can try to speed up the purchase of the Lauterbach.
Thanks.
Best regards.
Mike.

Hi Erwan
I bought the debugger SPC5-UDESTK and I haven't been able to solve the problem, I'm still waiting for the arrival of the Lauterbach.
I have been looking for solutions to the problem and I have found that this happens frequently, both in development boards and in user development and in different microcontrollers. And many of them never got fixed. I have tried all the solutions that are possible to me and I have not been able to solve the problem.
I would really appreciate if you could help me.
Or do you think it could be a bug that cannot be fixed?
Thanks.
Best regards
Mike.

Hi Mike,
I was wondering if you managed to solve this issue later on. How did you resolve it?
Thanks,

Hello ,
i am going to ask some request to the specialists a way to recover a board SPC56,SPC57,SPC58
in case of reset escalation or systematic crash.
Hardware issue is an other story.
Best Regards
Erwan
