How to Flash the custom design SPC582Bxxx board using UDESTK

Rohit Rajapure
Associate II

Hello All,

We have designed our own custom PCB using SPC582Bxxx, and we have assembled the controller and other circuit board. Now we would like to flash the our sample into custom device and test the same.

For flashing the code we followed the UDESTK debugger connected to custom board JTAG debugger (Connected Custom JTAG and UDESTK JTAG). Using UDE software tool try to load the firmware on custom hardware, We could able to load firmware to board but the custom board after reset is not booting up.

Can any one help us how to load the firmware and bring up the custom hardware step by step.

Urgently need solution to this!!

Please get to us with your help

Thank and Regards

Hi,

We are not aware about the details of your software.

Take a standard/easy example in AutoDevKit Studio and try to flash it to understand if the issue is with the flashing procedure or with your code.

Hi Team,

Thanks for the response,

We need steps to follow the board bring/ custom hardware up. We followed the steps that we do for Dev-kit to flash code. But this is not helping us to get hardware work.

We tried to dump the sample code also, issue is same. We observed that on custom hardware when choose to program from UDE tool the breakpoints on component init is not executed.

This happens with both studio sample code as well as our custom blinky code.

So this reason we need assistance from your end to solve and make sure the board work.

Please share the step to follow for the custom board to bring up and make is work.

Kindly share the feedback at the earliest,

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

If you are getting the same kind of issue with a sample code, then we can assume that you have issue with your hardware.

The best is to contact our local sale office to get support and verify schematics and connections.

Hi Team,

Thanks for the response,

Do you have any documents where we get data related to custom hardware bring up procedure.

Any settings to be selected while do this kind of exercises. If any document or any standard from STM or any one previously done such activity then please share the links. It would be very helpful for us to debug this and resolve issue at the earliest.

Hope you understand my situation and help me with this.

Thanks for understanding
