STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hello,I am currently using STM32CubeMX version 6.0.1 with STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H7 Series version 1.8.0. The generated code executes when using ULINKpro, but does not execute when Reset signal is given to microcontroller or Power to Microcontroller is recycled.When I open a IOC project that was created with below STM32CubeMX version with STM32CubeMX latest version 6.0.1, it asks for migrating the project.MxCube.Version=5.6.1  MxDb.Version=DB.5.0.60Once I migrate the project I save and close it. Then open the IOC again and generate code.Below issue is observed when Toolchain / IDE: MDK-ARM (minimum version 5.27) is selected and Source code is generated.<uC99>1</uC99><uGnu>1</uGnu>When the earlier STM32CubeMX (version 5.6.1 was in use along with STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H7 Series version 1.7.0) the generated Keil UVPROJX file had below values:<uC99>1</uC99><uGnu>0</uGnu>Please fix the bug by ensuring

I am trying to get the Uart to work with DMA. I followed the "STM32CubeMX basics: 10.11 STM32Cube HAL labs UART - UART DMA" using the M7 core but the program does not do anything. Basically the transmission is never sent. The uart Polling and Interupt labs before 10.11 work ok. I found this knowledge article "DMA is not working on STM32H7 devices", followed the suggestions but still the M7 does not run the UART. I tested the same code on the M4 core, which did send and receive, but the live expression window shows some garbage was transmitted instead of the characters 20 to 29 (10 bytes). I did receive the exact same garbage bytes, so I think the UART is working but not the DMA part.Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get the UART DMA working on a Nucleo-H745ZI-Q? Looking forward, the project will use two (2) Uarts and Ethernet DMA on the M7 core for external communications.Thanks.

Hi,where can I find and download STM32CubeIDE V1.4.2 or V1.4.6?Yesterday, I update to v1.5.0 from V1.4.6(I don't remember which version),and then FD CAN inactive in my project, I did compare between old version(V1.4.2) and V1.5.0.Old version(V1.4.2) is work fine.

Despite of unchecking the visibility (static) box of "MX_GPIO_Init" in MxCube 6.1.0, the function is generated as static. Strange enough, the prototype at the top of the file is not. Clicking the column box, all boxes are updated, except the "MX_GPIO_Init".Seems a bug to me....Your reaction is appreciated!Martin

Hello. I have set up TSC using the standard CubeMX config on Group 2 and 3, where the sampling is connected to G3_IO1 and G2_IO1. However, when i run the program, i get an assertion failure at the initialization on assert_param(IS_GPIO_AF_INSTANCE(GPIOx)); It seems the GPIOC port where is G3_IO1 connected to does not support Alternate Functions. Hi all, Thanks for the support. I am using STM32CubeMx V5.6.1 to generate the driver for STM32F205VGTx USB OTG High speed dual role function.I required USB OTG High speed for communication between to STM32 controller. So I am trying to enable using the STM32CubeMx V5.6.1. But I see WARNING as "This IP has no parameter to be configured"(Refer Image attached).Why the WARNING is shown?What is the impact due to this WARNING?Thanks for sharing the experience.

Hi, My project is on a Stm32H7 I'm using freeRTOS and LWIp. For testing I'm using a sample project generated by cubemx and http_netconn web server.When I generated the project with cubemx 5.6.1 it's working good.With CubeMx 6.0.1 http request are receive but data's are send very slowly and it fail.I checked a lot of parameters but I don't find any difference. If someone could help me ?ThanksValentin

When I open my first project, I get a message saying that firmware must be upgraded. I clic the button 'migrate'. It works a long time. If I go to the project parameter, it is still the old firmware. And if I quit cubemx and restart it with the same project (I have only one !), I get again the message.What do I miss ?JeanPS images underneath are in the wrong order ...

Posted on February 11, 2018 at 17:06I'm new to ARM and I brought a STM32F769I-DISCO.Creating a new project with the CubeMX all the SDIO are pre-configured as INPUTS even the ones connected to the USER-LEDs.Did someone find the same mistakes? Could it be a CubeMX error or what am I doing wrong?#stm32cubemx #stm32f769i-disco

I am pretty sure that old versions of CubeMX (maybe years ago), when generating for TCM interface generated different code than when generating for AXI.At least in the generated STM32F765VGTx_FLASH.ld (I'm working with a F765), I had a base flash address of 0x200000 for ITCM and 0x8000000 for AXI, the #define FLASH_BASE was set accordingly and I had some code section in which the interface was set. Now I am working with CubeMX 6.1.0 (the same for 6.0.1) and I notice that nothing changes in the code when I set TCM rather than AXI. The code seems to setup the AXI interface even when I set TCM. Whats happened?

Hi everyone!I'm new to the forum so please let me know if I should add more information, etc..I am using the external SDRAM (MT48LC4M32B2B5-6A, 128Mb) on the STM32F769I-DISC1 board. The SDRAM was configured with CubeMX to use all four memory banks. Everything works fine if I access memory regions from 0xC0000000 to 0xC0800000 (corresponding to 64Mb). If I try to access memory locations beyond 0xC0800000 the MCU ends up in the Hardfault handler.Has someone else experienced this issue?What is the easiest way to check if the SDRAM was correctly set up to use 4 memory banks?Thanks for your help!

Hi I am facing issue with the "generate code" to generate the boiler plate code for the nucleo-f44rehere is the software that I am running with :STMCubeMX_v6-0-1Keil ARM-MDK 5.32java version "1.8.0_271" (Java 8 I believe) , which is the recommended version of Java to run the CubeMX*I even install the STM32CubeMX in the most shallow C directory "C:\<here>", so that I would not encounter any issues with too long path names*This "generate code" issue comes right after I resolved another Issue with "installing stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252 libraries"I managed to resolved this "stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252" library installing issue by manually going to the C:\\<User>\STM32Cube\Repository and manually unzipping the files .could the problem of "generating the code", stem from this method of resolving "the stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252 library installing issue"? are there anyone familiar with this issue of "project generation" or this software able to provide some assistance in resolving this issue ? Hello, I am using STM32CubeMX version 4.26.1 and Keil uvision5. For a simple LED blinking example, I have made a model in Matlab/Simulink (both in version 2017b and in version 2018a). However, when I click on "build model" on Simulink, I receive an error message saying "The code is successfully generated under C:/Users/...../sim_2 but MDK-ARM V5project generation have a problem". (sim_2 is the name of the ioc file and the project folder). I have installed the STM32-mat target as explained in the Readme.pdf file that was provided. Could you please help me fix this problem? I'm able to configure LPUART1 fine and have been communicating on it. However, for the life of me I can't find the way to enable RX/TX interrupts via CubeMX. I'd rather use the UI if I can. Please see the screenshot attached. As you can see, I have LPUART1 enabled... but there are no entries available in the NVIC list.Any ideas?

I've just recently started to use makefiles and one of the requirements is passing a few defines to the compiler. These I define in CDEF as CDEF = -DVAR1 -DVAR2 -DVAR3but after running the code generation, CubeMX has changed that to -DCDEF = VAR1 VAR2 VAR3which does absolutely nothing as the variable DCDEF is not referenced in the gcc command lineWhat is it trying to do?Cheers

Using CubeMX configuration specific to stm32f429 discovery board which configures FMC to support SDRAM board. Have a memory test program that tests the 8Mb memory available at 0xD0000000. This program fails to run by triggering a hardware fault exception. The same program works fine with example FMC configuration which is not using CubeMX. I checked the pin configuration between the two and they seem same. Is there anything I am missing, I was expecting the CubeMX driver to work out of the box.

I have STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE installed, but each use a different Firmware repositort folder. So I have to download (with a slow ADSL line) and install twice every firmware package.I want to install the package in a directory out of C:/users/Admin because I doesn't have the right to search in these directories.The repository path and button is grayed in the Updater settings:What can I do ?Thanks.

I got an STM32H745I-DISCO board and am trying to get a program started with the TOUCHFX component, but I noticed that all the components are not available because "This pack cannot be used on the selected MCU".Is there a way to make it work? Is it a limitation due to the dual-core nature of the MCU, and that the CubeMX tool doesn't support it? I'd really like to avoid having to integrate it manually.

Having a very difficult time figuring out what happened to STM32CubeMX. In middle of very timely development and suddenly I can't generate any code. It just hangs. I have to shut down Java to force the program to close.I have downloaded the latest version of CubeMX (5.6.0) and also the latest version of KEIL/uVision (5.29.0.0). Still no luck and I've tested with two different *.ioc files (attached for reference).I'm also attaching my LOG file.Any help would be appreciated as I'm effectively crippled and can't do development ahead of customer deployment..
