STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

latest Catalina and cube mx fresh install. And I can only click on pins to select function but no clicking of left side list items makes me unable to set HSE resonator. What is wrong?

Started with the example that can be found on STM32H7 Github at https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/tree/v1.9.0/Projects/STM32H745I-DISCO/Examples/QSPI/QSPI_MemoryMappedDual , I tried to port it into a brand new project generated with CubeMX for the target board STM32H745I-DISCO.First said, it would be nice if examples include also the CubeMX project file with "default settings for peripherals", this will really speed-up the prototyping phase, with benefit for developers and so for STM itself.Back to the problem, I tried change clock and peripheral settings to match the configuration found in the esample file, nothing worked for me for now, I will certainly dig more to find a working solution, but would be nice if you can provide a working CubeMX-generated example for that (and maybe also others) memory.Thank you, let's stay in touch.

I have created a project as in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PalTKoMf_Xo&t=276s), however in my case there is an extra tab as "Platform Settings" in Middlewares->LWIP and it gives warning. After that, I couldn't take an IP address from my modem. I used DHCP. Is this normal? Should I leave as it default or should I choose LAN8742 as a solution

While execute the CCER->CC1E, the amplitude high drops to the 2V. Please confirm whether it is reasonable or not.2.Under the circumstance above, the code enters trigger interrupt at both rising and falling edge,while I configure the CCER->CC1NP and CC1P = 00,and it should enter interrupt only at rising edge.

Hi, I generated code for the STM32H735 discovery kit in cubemx 6.2.1, and noticed that it generates the folder Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\portable\GCC\ARM_CM4F\The STM32H735 contains a cortex m7 core (afaik), while the above directory contains the portability layer for a cortex M4.I am assuming this a bug in cubemx ? Or is there an explanation for the mixup ?What is the advised workaround ?RegardsBram

So far in various online resources, the sample given is to configure USB FS as USB Host e.g. this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC0d8CVEPrQBut my board STM32769 Discovery does not have USB FS peripheral routed out of the board which leave me to use USB HS only. I try trial and error blindly to config it as USB Host as MSC class but no luck. Certain settings can't detect at all when I insert my USB thumb drive to USB HS connector, certain setting able to detect but immediately lead to HardFault_Handler() which seems due to memory access violation which I have no idea how that occurred. Could it be my clock setting? So could someone please give me CubeMX setting (.ioc) how to configure the USB HS as USB Host? Also, there is tab under Middleware->USB_HOST->Platform Settings which gave warning but I have no idea at all what is that and how to configure it.I'd appreciate the help.

Hi,There is a bug since beginnings of IDE/MX with calculation of battery live calculation.When I use one battery for operation and I define the consumtion information, I get an estimated battery life of x days. When I change the battery count in series from one to two, the battery life should be almost x*2 because I have twice power available but the estimated battery life stays the same. It changes only when I change the count of parallel batteries.Thats wrong.Best regards,Osto

Trying to use CubeMX v6.2.1 to put timer 2 channel 1 in "OC CH1" mode to pin 77. It looking like pin 77 do not configure to output mode by CubeMX and cannot generate. If I use "OC CH1 no output" with interrupt enabled and preconfigured, the pin signal is OK.Possible points: 1. Pin77 have default function JTDI, but I use SWD (and checked it in CubeMX). 2. This pin share the functions "TIM2CH1" and "TIM2_ETR". However, I set the pin 77 in "TIM2CH1" mode. Need help.

Hi ,I want to setup my STM32F769 Discovery board as USB Host. I use STM32CubeMX :Middleware-> USB_HOST-> Class For HS IP: Mass Storage Class.But when I generate the code, it gave me pop up warning as following. What does this warning mean? And how should I resolve it?

Hello there,I am developing a FreeRTOS based application using STM32L452 MCU. I am looking for a way, to reduce the power consumption in the idle intervals of the processors work. When reviewing the sleep modes, it occured to me that the MCU might be unresponsive to external events or even lose context (MCU reset), which is not fit in this RTOS running application.I thought then that I could simply reduce the HCLK frequency by playing with the PLL registers. The problem here is that the systick timer will get altered, and I really need it to stay with its regular timebase (1 ms). I checked either it is possible to clock the Systick timer from other sources, but it seems like its only HCLK and HCLK / 8. The datasheet says it is calibrated for this value.I would appreciate some suggestions on this topic.Lukasz.

I'm working with STM32F479ZG and ZI both have working ethernet.In the lastest CubeMX 5.1.0 it shows that those MCUs are not supporting ethernet.Is there a work around for this issue?

I configured all pins of stm32f103c8 as output. All pins are toggling and only PD0 and PD1 aren't toggling .. I am using internal crystal of stm32f103c8 then obviously the PD0 and PD1 pins are free for configure as output or input.

Hello,I'm working with CubeMX 6.2 & CubeIDE 1.6.0.I have several problems with the generated code that I would like to know if I can somehow resolve instead of changing the generated code every time after changing something in the CubeMX project.This is the list:I have a defined symbol under the CubeIDE GCC Compiler preprocessor settings, for example CONFIG_FILE="xyz_config.h". This setting is override by CubeMXWhen I use ETH with my H743 based project the CubeMX add to main.c a definition of DMA descriptors. I have those descriptors defined somewhere else in the code based on my application specific needs. Is there a way to make CubeMX not to generate this part in main?Thanks,Eyal

Hi, currently cubemx uses some sort of double list for listing all the components, meaning you get a scrollbar on the side over all the categories (so far OK), and then within each category, after expanding it, there is another list you can scroll with tiny arrows. The amount of visible elements in each category seems arbitrary.In my experience, this second tiny arrows is very user unfriendly: it is impossible to get a quick overview of all available/enabled components since some of them will always be hidden, and the arrows are hard to select and make the list jump by some unclear amount of elements. Is there a way to fully expand all categories, maybe edit some config file so that the amount of elements in each category can be set big enough to show them all once expanded so I do not have to deal with the arrows anymore?Image showing the tiny arrow I really like to get rid of in attachment.RegardsBram

The linker produce a error "cannot find library". See pic. However, I trying to change the lib path to haven't any spaces inside. This not help.Then I change the lib path to my disk root D: folder and this generate next 'sh' error.

Hi, I try to change compiling code method to Makefile. I'm using generated from cubeMX makefile with few changes. Everything works file when I compiling main.c file but, when I change file to main.cpp compiler print errors. I generate pinmux and init code for my STM32F407G-DISC1 board with STM32CubeMX 5.6.1, and copy it into my Eclipse CDT project that uses the HAL/LL drivers to that came with STM32CubeF4 Firmware Package V1.25.0. It builds ok; I download the binary to the board with OpenOCD/GDB. I configured GFXMMU, the First Pix is 0, the Last Pix is 240.Why Gain is a negative number ,As shown in the figure below ?

I am starting to design a simple testboard using STMH75x in LQFP package with ethernet. I don't want to design a BGA board.Is that possible. I tried same pins into with CubeMx as in Discovery board, but CubeMx did not fully accept those pins for ethernet.
