Good morning all, I am working on a school project to create a hydroponic garden within a greenhouse in my backyard. I am using the NUCLEO-STM32WBA55 board. When I update using the STLINK the board is recognized by my pc but when trying to run I get a “Target no device found” error. I have followed the steps from the “STM32WBA5x workshop 4” but every time I run into this issue. I have never really worked with these before so I am probably missing something simple. Any help would be appreciated.
I use the NUCLEO-WL55JC STM32WL Nucleo-64 board, which I supply with an external power supply. Each time I attach my laptop in order to view the console, the WL55JC is reset. I assume the STLINK-V3E issues a reset to the WL55JC.Is there a possibility to avoid that?I tried to take away the jumper that allows T_NRST to be connected to ST-LINK, but then, when I attach my laptop the board, the WL55JC enters an unusual state (it neither continues normal operation nor does a reset). Except for this I did not find any other ideas how to change the behavior. Is there any?
Hey, we are developing a product using a STM32WB5MMGHx on a custom PCB and using ThreadX instead of the scheduler + TinyLPM. I'm having issues getting the MCU into a suitably low power sleep mode, and I'm seeing odd behaviour where lower current draw is measured in STOP_2 vs SHUTDOWN mode. my code for entering SHUTDOWN mode DBGMCU->CR = 0; hci_reset(); LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN); HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWREx_DisableBLEActivityIT(); HAL_PWREx_Disable802ActivityIT(); HAL_PWREx_EnablePullUpPullDownConfig(); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_1); HAL_PWREx_ClearWakeupFlag(PWR_FLAG_WU); HAL_PWREx_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_HIGH,PWR_CORE_CPU1); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN2); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN3); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN5); HAL_PWREx_DisableInternalWakeUpLine(); HAL_PWREx_ClearWakeupFlag(PWR_FLAG_WU); LL_PWR_C
Hi,I'm working with the nucleo-wb15cc board. The program itself is working great but I encounter issues everytime I unplug/replug the USB cable during operation:The program reports HAL_TIMEOUT druing SystemClock_Config(). To be more specific, it gets stucked in the while loop here: /* Check the LSE State */ if (RCC_OscInitStruct->LSEState != RCC_LSE_OFF) { /* Get Start Tick*/ tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); /* Wait till LSE is ready */ while (LL_RCC_LSE_IsReady() == 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > RCC_LSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } } else...... I see from the clock diagram that LSE is involved in RTC Clock Mux and RFWKP Clock Mux.BOOT0 is pulled to GND according to schematic.I figured out a way to go around the issue, of which I also don't understand the mechanism: by flashing the Heart_Rate example codes and reflashing my own codes, the program can run again without any issues. However, I need to reflash my codes twice because I'l
HIIm trying to add this middleware to STM32WB0/STM32WBA55 MCU, Im using WBA0/WBA55 p2p_server_ota trying to integrate SX1261/SX1262 ,How to list as part for middleware in CubeIDE configuration page, (like we get LoRaWAN for STM32WL)STM_WPAN and LoRaWAN to be listed for configurationThanksKarthiG
HiWhen LPTIM2 and LPTIM3 enabled with "Count Extenal Clock with internal sync" with LPTIM2 Global interupt Enabled, it is not calling void HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback(LPTIM_HandleTypeDef *hlptim)But LPTIM1 is working perfectly as expected , it is calling HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback(LPTIM_HandleTypeDef *hlptim) /* USER CODE END LPTIM2_Init 1 */ hlptim2.Instance = LPTIM2; hlptim2.Init.Clock.Source = LPTIM_CLOCKSOURCE_APBCLOCK_LPOSC; hlptim2.Init.Clock.Prescaler = LPTIM_PRESCALER_DIV1; hlptim2.Init.UltraLowPowerClock.Polarity = LPTIM_CLOCKPOLARITY_FALLING; hlptim2.Init.UltraLowPowerClock.SampleTime = LPTIM_CLOCKSAMPLETIME_DIRECTTRANSITION; hlptim2.Init.Trigger.Source = LPTIM_TRIGSOURCE_SOFTWARE; hlptim2.Init.OutputPolarity = LPTIM_OUTPUTPOLARITY_HIGH; hlptim2.Init.UpdateMode = LPTIM_UPDATE_IMMEDIATE; hlptim2.Init.CounterSource = LPTIM_COUNTERSOURCE_EXTERNAL; hlptim2.Init.Input1Source = LPTIM_INPUT1SOURCE_GPIO; hlptim2.Init.Input2Sour
Hi I'm not very experienced with Zigbee, but I have a ZGPD power measuring device on my desk I'd like to get the data from. With a 802.15.4 sniffer i see he's asking for a channel (command 0xe3) within the first 5 minutes after startup. He's also broadcasting data (ZGP stub NWK header data) every 5 seconds, I guess some kind of commissioning request. I've never seen any kind of response from my WPAN coordinator server sample running on STM32WB55.Is it possible to handle this devices with the current WPAN middleware? Couldn't find any samples.Best regardsArmin see also: Green Power Device cluster missing in CubeMX ?
I wonder, if it is possible to build a Zigbee Green Power Proxy and ZGP Sink with the STM32_WPAN v1.0.I couldn't find any documentation neither any source code samples.I did find some hints about Zigbee Green Power:1. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Zigbee_certification_process:2. In STM32CubeIde:I also tried to call Zgp functions found in zigbee.zgp.h like ZbZgpDeviceServerAlloc() or ZbZgpDataReqCallback(), but I got a linker error "undefined reference". Seems these functions are not provided by the library. So I'm not sure can I achieve the goal I try to with the tools I use.If someone (ST employee) could answer my question, it would save me a lot of time.Armin
Hello everyone,I'm working with an STM32WB5MMG module (STM32WBxx Series) and I'm looking to process the information coming from a digital MEMS microphone.I saw online that a PDM2PCM library existed at STM and I want to use it :)I red that a few years ago this library was only available for the STM32F4/F7/H7 Series (Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M7). And indeed I can open and use it on CubeMx with an F4 project. But as I said in introduction, I wanted to use it with the STM32WB5MMG.2 evidences make me think that I can use it with the STM32WBxx series :in the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0 files, there seems to be the middleware and the files for STM32_Audio. (like the pdm2pcm_glo.h and the libPDMFilter for example).in the STM32CubeWB Firmware Examples for STM32WBxx Series, there is the application “Audio_BVLINKWB? : But I can’t see the middleware PDM2PCM in a WB Series CubeMx project like I could see in an F4 project : My questions are :Is there a way to use the PDM2PCM middleware in a WB Ser
I am building an application which needs to be updated over BLE OTA. I have followed the getting started videos and AN5247. I have flashed the BLE_Ota example to address 0x0800 0000 as instructed, and I can successfully connect to the device using the ST BLE Sensor mobile application. For my custom application, I am trying to simply load the .bin file from the BLE Sensor application and have the STM32 reboot into that program. I have modified the linker file to start my flash address at 0x0800 7000, and I have marked the .ota_region_start and .ota_region_end, copying from the BLE_HeartRate_ota example. When I build my firmware file and open the .bin output in a hex viewer, I can verify the magic keyword is placed at the correct location:Above, you can see that at address 0x0800 7140 (or 0x140 from start of custom application), the magic keyword address is 0x0800FE54 (little endian). When looking at this address, we can see the magic keyword:This is value 0x94448A2
Hello, It seems that the nucleo evalboard of the STM32WL33 is now up. Do you have any news about the integration on STM32CubeIDE ? Best regards,
Hello, First Post here.I have been testing 20 prototype STM32WLE5 boards and have been getting a respectable +20dBm output power at 908 MHz Lora Modulation 125KHz BW drawing 105mA. VR_PA = 2.5V. This is great! However, on two of the boards the RFO_HP transmitter has failed. No detectable output power at all. I'm thinking the STM part has failed. We have an antenna switch between the TX and RX path. The schematic is basically a copy of the MB1720-HighBand_HighPower-A01_Schematic_Internal.pdf reference design. On the failed parts the regulated PA voltage has jumped up to the VDD of 3.3V and the board current has dropped to 13mA from the 105mA when the transmitter was working. The 33nH RF inductor that supplies the VR_PA voltage to the RFO_HP output looks good in that it "ohms" out correctly at 0.6 ohms so that's not blown. It has a max I=260mA, it should be good.Has anyone else seen this problem? have any clues. I am worried abo
Posted on April 03, 2018 at 13:30Hi,We are working on a sensor using LoRaWAN for communication. Our setup is a custom board using the CMWX1ZZABZ module from Murata for the communication part (this module is the same as the one on the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery Kit). The sensor is connected to the LoRaWAN module with 2 wires: 1 output to activate the sensors, 1 input to get the sensor status. For the LoRaWAN code, we used as base the End_Node project of I-CUBE-LRWAN v1.1.1 (01-June-2017). The main differences with the original project are:- Disabled vcom and corresponding UART (for power saving)- Added ADC configuration- Added an interrupt for the sensor status GPIO- The application data transmission duty cycle is changed to 10 minutes. The STM goes to STOP mode using WFI, so it is woken up either by the 10 minute timer, or the sensor status interruption. On wake-up, if the sensor status pin is changed, the new value is sent, otherwise a heartbeat packet is sent.We
Hello, im trying to sending manufacturer-specific data using the SCAN_RSP AdvData in the BLE_p2pServer_Ext application on the STM32WBA module. Are there any examples? Thank You.
Hello,In my project, the initial Bluetooth scanning time(I am using STM32WB5MMG) takes 10 seconds (gap discovery procedure). Is it possible to reduce this to 5 seconds or less? Although I have adjusted the scan interval and scan window values, they don't seem to have any impact, and the scanning still takes 10 seconds. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I just want to make sure that it is possible Using STM32WLE5 SUBGHZ IN HIGH-POWER MODE (22 DBM) , higher frequency band , WITH THE INTERNAL LDO ? (without the internal SMPS ) I am asking because i see in the CUBE-MX under the tools tab that there is no option to select "high-power" when selecting "SMPS OFF" Thank You,Viola
Hi,I cannot connect to the NUCLEO-WB05KZ with the CubeProgrammer. Also tried the "Under Reset" option, I'm always getting the same error message:" Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication"How can I perform a discovery using Debug Authentication?
hello,I tried manually changing the keys from the recompiled se-identity.h file and then ran the program but the keys remain the default ones not affected by the change.how can i change them?
Hello everyone,I'm trying to use the timer interrupt callback to modify the GATT characteristics and send out a notification (see code excerpt below). This only works once and after sending the message the timer no longer triggers and I no longer see any advertisements from my board. If I send the data via the USB-COM port, it works using the timer interrupt. So there seems to be something wrong with the IPCC but I don't know what it is and how I can fix it/get around it. can someone help me ? Testing Background:The current device requirements are as follows:It should operate in low-power Bluetooth mode as a BLE controller (only running the Bluetooth protocol). It should be able to run both the Zigbee and Bluetooth protocols simultaneously in low-power mode. Thus, we need to test if the Dynamic M0 firmware can run the Bluetooth protocol alone and the BLE and Zigbee protocols together in terms of functionality and power consumption requirements.Power Consumption Testing Conditions:Hardware Conditions:Nucleo development boardJP2 jumper cap removedPower Supply Conditions:Powered via JP3 and GNDFirmware Conditions:M0: stm32wb5x_BLE_Zigbee_RFD_dynamic_fw.binM4: ble_zigbee_SED_Dyn.hex Test 1:With the original ble_zigbee_SED_Dyn.hex source code: 1.1 When the development board connects successfully to both the Zigbee (Home Assistant Zigbee hub) and ST BLE app, it enters low-power mode with a current of 300-400 µA. 1.2 When connected only to the ST BLE app and not to Zi
Hello,I am developing a BLE application using the STM32WB Custom Template. In my project, I want to implement the Whitelist feature. My goal is to start the device in normal advertising mode initially, obtain the MAC address of the connected device, and then add this device to the Whitelist. For subsequent connections, I only want devices that are in the Whitelist to be able to connect. However, it seems that the Custom Template does not include the necessary configurations or support for Whitelist usage by default. Because of this, I need some guidance:My Questions:How should I configure the GAP settings in the STM32WB Custom Template to enable Whitelist usage? Are there any additional settings required, especially for GAP roles (Central/Peripheral) and Whitelist support? What settings do I need to enable in STM32CubeMX for Whitelist usage? Which options should I select to enable Whitelist and correctly configure the GAP features? How should I structure the Adv_Request() function to perf
Hi,we are looking for the right Part Number for a STM32WB55RGV 32MHz Crystal. On the NUCLEO-WB55RG evaluation board schematic, we see this part number, but every supplier offers a wide range of similar crystals but with different capacitances. We already have an issue with a similar ST device (STM32WBA55) design where we experienced issues selecting a different crystal other than the one in eval board. Could you point out the exact part number to be sure we use the same? Best Regards,Fernando.
In my ble application(BLE peripheral) code i need to enter standby mode(BLE can be disabled in stand by mode), after 20 sec by RTC wake up i need to enable the BLE again, start advertising and do some ADC reading. Is there any particular example code is available to enter the stm32wb series in standby mode in a ble application? If i use LPM manager by the STM cube ide is it possible to enter standby mode and stay there for 20 sec?
Hi, I am using the STM32 Nucleo WBA52CG evaluation board and programming it using Zephyr v3.7.0 and am looking how to set the Tx output power of the BLE radio. Are there any configs available in Zephyr for the same? If not, alternatively please suggest a way to do this. I want to configure the Tx output power of the radio to +5 dBm. Thanks, Kaiwalya
